Guide to access ALTWFC w/ Dolphin
#1
Requirements:
Have Dolphin Installed
Know how to apply codes in Dolphin

Please note that you can also use this method for access via your disc or ISO if you don't want to do the standard DNS method.

You will need to use the following codes

For the domain name changer code, here are the X values you need to plug in-

Oh, nice! I didn't know this was possible. I shall get this set up on Wednesday hopefully. Thanks Joshua!

Thanks for making this! Wink

EDIT: I didn't see any steps for setting DNS in the System Menu's internet settings. I'm guessing this isn't required at all?

EDIT 2: Nvm I figured out you don't have to. I just figured out how to do the DNS on Debian 9/10.

I use another method to acces AltWFC on Dolphin and it is way easier, I simply extract the Mkwii iso and replace the original main.dol with a patched main.dol that I've found in the description of a RoGamer97's AltWFC hacking video. It works for me without any DNS settings  Big Grin

I saw you viewing this thread and totally forgot that I made a code awhile ago to patch the domain name on the fly. No need for main.dol edits, just apply two codes and you're good to go, thread has been updated.

So this method would work on gecko 1.9.3.1 instead of having to patch the gct to main.dol to load over 256 lines of code?

I'm not sure what you mean with the comment about 256 lines of code when the two codes provided are well below the limit. Obviously, if you have other codes and you exceed the limit, you need to use the Easy Extender - https://mkwii.com/showthread.php?tid=790

The codes work on both the Wii and Dolphin.

Easy extender doesn't work on riivolution tho

It MAY be able to work with the right XML mods (which I have no idea how to do XML mapping on Riivo). Fyi, if you run codes on Riivo, I suggest you use the GXDraw hooktype.

So in conclusion, yes you will need to use Gecko OS.
