Upgrade From Debian 9 to Debian 10
Mini guide to upgrade from Debian 9 (stretch) to Debian 10 (buster)

Chapter 1. Fully update/upgrade your current system

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && sudo apt-get autoremove && sudo apt-get autoclean && sudo apt-get clean

Reboot your computer

sudo apt update

sudo apt full-upgrade

sudo apt-get clean

Chapter 2: Modifying Repo's, Start Actual Upgrade

sudo sed -i 's/stretch/buster/g' /etc/apt/sources.list

sudo apt update

sudo apt full-upgrade

During this full upgrade, a large amount of news info will appear and temporarily halt the upgrade. To scroll down the info to read it, press the down key on your keyboard. To stop reading this info and continue with the upgrade, press the q button on your keyboard.

Upgrade will then complete itself.

Reboot your computer

Chapter 3: Final Clean Up

sudo apt purge linux-image-4.9.0-*

sudo apt purge linux-headers-4.9.0-*

NOTE: When I personally did this clean up, I was notified that the headers were not present for purging. This may occur for you.

Reboot your computer one last time...

Upgrade is now complete!
